BWI's Partner in charge of Canada, Stewart Borden, commented, Canadian sell-side analysts work countless hours throughout the year to advance the knowledge and investment insight of their portfolio management clients. Portfolio managers at Canada's largest asset management firms are a world class audience, many as well versed on world markets as they are on the Canadian domestic scene. Not easily impressed, Canada's all star analysts fight the good fight for the approval of this sophisticated big league investment clientele. It's great that, once a year, BWI is invited to turn the tables and ask the Brendan Wood Panel of Canada's leading sell-side analysts to nominate the portfolio managers who inspire them most and influence them at the deeper levels of investment analysis. The results amplify the importance of collaboration, inspiration and integrity in the critical relationship between portfolio managers and sell-side analysts in uprooting essential findings which help establish shareholder confidence in companies which deserve it.
